How the OM Shoppe & Spa Came to Be
The OM Shoppe began as as an online store curating and gathering products
that helped others seeking wellness through natural and ancient means.
The mission has always been clear:
To be of service in raising the vibration of mankind and our planet whenever and wherever possible.
In 2014, as the demand for and interest in Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls, Himalayan Salt Products, Crystals, Organic Essential Oils and other gifts of mother earth continued to grow, The OM Shoppe expanded from an on line store to a full retail space.
In order to expand the mission further a new location was established just miles from the beautiful quartz crystal sand beaches of one of the world’s most beautiful seaside Energy Vortexes, Siesta Key. Considered the Sedona of the South, Siesta Key and Sarasota are quickly becoming hot spots for those seeking a natural energy vortex experience.
The new spa offered State of the Art treatment rooms for Energy, Massage and Sound Healing and was an immediate success. Healers flocked to recharge themselves and others discovered for the first time the incredible healing power of energy and sound.
In 2016 due to relocation demands it looked like The OM Shoppe & Spa might close its doors. A casual conversation between now-owner Beth A. Snyder, a Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Sarasota, FL and then owner Cindy, led to her and her partner Nancy Parlor, MA purchasing the business in Sept of 2016.
It was truly divinely inspired.
Beth had been a regular customer and client of The OM Shoppe for many years. As a healer it was an oasis for her to recharge to again be of service to her clients in her private practice. Beth also brought 20 years of corporate business sales and management, and Nancy had many years of management in the weight loss industry and Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling.
It was the perfect recipe and time to take on the reins. With just one year under their belts, they have expanded to offer additional spa services, developed a custom organic skin care line and launched newly updated websites for the Spa and online shoppe in November 2017.
Of course the incredible staff of Energy Workers, Massage Therapists and Retail Support Staff have allowed The OM Shoppe & Spa to continue to serve our growing community. But profoundly,it is our clients and customers, the professional practitioners and those seeking to enjoy more wellness and spiritual awakening, that keep The OM Shoppe moving forward.

What OM Teaches Us About Wellness
OM is a syllable representing the vibration of the universe.
First mentioned in the Upanishads 4000 years ago, OM has become a cross-cultural and cross-historical symbol of completion, knowledge, and union.
Analysis of Vedic texts reveal that the three phonetic units of OM correspond to the three stages of cosmic creation. The OM is first generated in the vocal cords, and rolls up from the throat across the entire mouth, exiting the lips.
The rolling sound of the OM contains all phonetic sounds of the ancient Sanskrit alphabet, indicating the syllable’s connection with knowledge and wisdom.
The symbol ॐ “Om” represents the individual self uniting with the universal soul. As the ancient Hindu texts explain, all life is a manifestation of the universal soul, however, due to our judgment being clouded by attachment, ignorance, and passion, the true nature of our self is encompassed by the individual ego. Ancient monks developed meditation techniques to penetrate the illusory world of attachment, one of the most powerful of which is simply chanting “Om.”
Chanting “Om” is an incredibly powerful way of connecting with the universal soul. It is a vibration that encourages peace and relaxation, as well as creativity. Chanting by yourself or with a group of people, this activity is said to make you feel comfortable and confident in yourself and the universe. The symbol OM is associated with the Hindu elephant divinity Ganesh, the remover of obstacles. By chanting OM and focusing your intention on accomplishing some goal, you will be able to unlock insight and inspiration into your life.
Although OM is a sound, there are many things that correspond with OM: peace, tranquility, protection, guidance, beauty, appreciation, gratitude, creativity, wisdom.
